    You are joking right?

    Well here is the punchline.

    Panel wattage = 4000 watts
MPPT Charge Controller = 80 amps
    48 Volt Battery Capacity = 1000AH
    Battery Weight = 2880 pounds
True Sine Wave Inverter = 1000 KVa.

Rim Shot please for Punch Line.

Should not cost you a penny more than $15,000 to keep Rin Tin Tin cool and warm.

Hi ratcliff23 and welcome to solar panel talk.

If your on the grid and so is said dog house look into a grid tied system for the whole house. If your looking to do this stand alone or off grid SK is right you need a large system. Air Con and heaters are the hardest things to take off grid as they draw a lot of power. Cheers and good luck with it

Oh goodness! Lol. It's a mini ac so no way I thought it was gonna be that expensive. Thanks Sunking!

Solar pete...I only wanted to put the dog house off-grid. It's just a little project. Transitioning my two" house" pitbulls to outside dogs. I wanted to make them as comfortable as possible while we're away. It's a small unit so there's no way I thought it would be that expensive. They're only going to be out there on the weekends while we're away. That is completely out of the question. I'll do better plugging it into the outside outlet or buying a small generator.

thanks guys you have been very helpful.

Well here is the irony. As for power, it does not use very much power for HVAC, less than a dollar a day. Solar is just that expensive. Simple solution though. Run a GFCI AC circuit to Rin Tin Tin's house.
