I don't think it can monitor consumption. There is just 1 CT and nothing in my electrical box. I guess it is a revenue grade meter but I don't understand what purpose it serves. My contract with the installer did mention RGM but they never set it up.

I found the info. It is a revenue grade meter for SRECs. Something my utility no longer does. I wonder if this meter would be more accurate than the readings from the inverter. Problem is if I switch to this meter I lose all my history.

Did you go to the solaredge website and download the document Application Note – HD-Wave Inverters with Built-In RGM & Consumption Monitoring for North America? I think it will measure consumption, but your installer did not install the other two optional CT's. I don't own a SolarEdge system.

If you took a look at the right side of the "box" that has all the pin outs, you can probably figure out how many CT's the device will support.

It can only monitor 1 CT. It does not have another connector for a 2nd CT. It is a revenue grade meter only. Without it the inverter just estimates production and unfortunately it was not setup correctly back in 2019. If I enable it then I lose all my production history from the solaredge website.

The rep said the RGM will give more precise production data but shouldn't be too far off from what the inverter estimates.

I understand now. There was another thread from 7-27-2017 that explained the CT & SREC's during a troubleshoot exercise.

I was unfamiliar with SREC's since we don't have them in the NW. After I read this post and researched it more, I understand why some users would want this certain meter in their SolarEdge product.

Does anyone know if the CT used for production measurement is the same type/model used at the MAIN for net metering in the Sunpower PVS-5/6?
