Sungrow SG10RT Inverter met 2 strings met verschillende orientaties.

    Hi All,

I do have a question of which I'm almost 100% sure that it is possible but I would like to get a confirmation.

The System is a 10KW Grid Tied System with 22 x 480 Wp panels. I string of 10 panels is facing 115 East and the other string is 12 panels facing West 295.

The inverter has 2 independent MPP inputs.

Max. PV input voltage is 1100 VDC

    This must be possible right?

    Kind regards

    Thx in advance

My question is what is the Voc rating on those 480w panels.

My guess it will be low enough to wire 12 of them to the inverter input and still not exceed that 1100VDC max.

      Hi Sun Eagle,

The VOC is 53.8. So for the 12 panels in series as well as the 10 panels in series the Voltage is no problem.

By the way the SG10RT has connections for four strings.

So even 2 times 6 panels and 2 times 5 panels (4 Strings) is possible

The Inverter has Min. PV input voltage / Start-up input voltage of 180VDC.

I'm afrain then 5 times in series will be to low to start up the inverter

      What do you think?

      Kind regards

I think you could leave it as a 10 and 12 panel string without exceeding the limit or being too low to get the MPPT to work. You should be fine with the original setup.

Hi - hoping someone could advise.
I have a SG10RT inverter which has 2 MPP. It can handle 2 string per MPP.
I have 3 cells west, 7 cells east and 12 cells north.
The installer has put the west and east cells on one string and mpp and the other 12 cells (north) on another string and mpp.
They have only installed Tigo Optimizers on the 3 west and 3 east cells with the remaining 4 east cells with no optimizers.
Does this sound wrong ? What would be your recommendation on the setup ?
