Just trying to figure out if there are alternatives to the high cost Lithium based battery systems.
If so, what size and configuration is your battery bank?

The only thing i saw that could come close would be 48 volt forklift batteries. -
I picked up one of the DC Solar Trailers. A lot of the batteries were abused due to lack of charging or watering but many were maintained or just so new that they survived. A pretty good start for a home system although there was only 2500 watts of panels on the trailers. The trailer would need another charge controller and additional panels. It has two large GNB forklift batteries.Comment
