Today (according to the article) solar cost roughly 57% more expensive in the U.S. than in Germany and nearly 70% than China. The European Union ended tariffs on Chinese solar back in 2018.
The tariff they are asking could go up to 250% AND APPLIED RETROACTIVELY!
OK, no fan of China here! But the cries for more green solar are will be in for sticker shock. So $39+K for 10KW system might turnout to be great deal some months from now.
