My neighbor recently asked me to help him understand the solar system previously installed (2016) on a home that he recently purchased. We live in the same community, in close proximity. He chose to continue to make the payments for the PV system installed on his roof but knows very little information other than he has 65 panels and he exports substantial power to the grid without credit. He pays only the required minimum for the grid connection each month. His My Usage dashboard indicates that he exports up to 3000 kWh/month. He contacted SunRun, to whom he makes his payments, but said that they have not been forthcoming in providing information about his system. He also contacted our electric utility who couldn't or wouldn't provide him with data on the amount that he exports besides his My Usage data. I have asked him to send me his monthly utility bill, which also shows a summary for the past 12 months so we may better quantify the amount of energy exported each month.

I asked him to send me photos of his inverter(s) and he sent the attached photos. The pictures include an AC combiner box and no inverters. This indicates a microinverter system, probably Enphase. There appears to be an internet connection device in the combiner box. Is this an Enphase system and should he be able to get access to the monitoring system?
