    Electric fence

    Good morning all.

I know this is not an answer to the above topic. I'm new to the forum and not familiar to the site controls. Hence my questions here.

I have an electric fence around my plot.
I want to remove the 1 battery (12v 7a/h) inside the Energizer and connect 8 x 12v 7a/h batteries in parralell to the Energizer.
    My questions...

    1. Seeing that the internal charger of the Energizer will not be fit to charge the 8 batteries, can I connect an external charger to the battery bank without damaging the Energizer?
    2. If so, will there be any clashing with the internal charger of the Energizer?
    3. Can I connect a solar charge controller to the above setup in order to control charging of the batteries?
    4. Can I ad a 100w solar panel to the above setup to assist with charging during load shedding?
    5. If so, can I install a 2nd charge controller for the solar panel?

    Awaiting answers to my dilemma.
    Thank you in advance

I suggest you build up a proper MPPT charger connecting those
panels to the batteries. Then run the battery output over to the
original fencer battery connection, ignore or disconnect the original
solar charger setup. good luck, Bruce Roe
