Before any questions, download a free PDF of "Solar Power Your Home for Dummies". Then, download "PVWatts", a user-friendly PV model from NREL. Read all the help screens and info of the model a couple of times and only then do a couple of runs and get your feet wet. It's a quick learning curve.
After all that, come back here with questions you've formulated that you can't find answers to on your own.
The questions you do ask after all that will have a lot more meat on them.
You'll learn and discover a lot before you ask any questions here and also get a lot more out of the answers provided to your questions because they'll be more informed.
Without the basics that you can easily get mostly on your own, you'll get frustrated and we will too when you don't understand what's being talked about.

Welcome! You have come to the right place! Also somewhat a newbie to solar, too. IMHO, without this forum, I probably would have gone screaming into the darkness about solar.Rade Radosevich-Slay

First word of advice.....don't sign or buy anything until you are sure you know what your are doing. Be especially wary of anything that has the word "lease" or "PPA" in it.
Second piece of advice....... get multiple quotes for anything you buy of large value. The more time you spend on the quotes and competitive bidding process the more money you will save. Not two or three quotes....four or five will be much better.Comment
