Has anyone ever seen one of these testers say a battery is good even though it’s not? Of all the years i have used these if any battery was bad it has always reported “ replace” along with a huge drop in CCA readings.
My friends car started ok the other morning. Drives into town for shopping. He comes out and the car is like rrrr rrrr rrrr but does eventually start. It was then ok the following few days. The mechanic is adamant the starter etc was ok and fitted a new battery. I put my tester on the old battery ( 4 years old) and it and it reads 50 cca above than it’s rated capacity. Strange one .
