    One for the smokers.

An inexpensivce low power and efficient air purifier for Off Grid.

I am a smoker and was disgusted to see the amount of tar accumilating on my RV walls. I needed a solution but air purifiers are a scam. Not because they are expensive or don't work but because the replacement filters cost as much as the new unit and have so small an area that they require frequent replacement.

    I installed a $12 Home Depot 20
1.6Kw of PV, Outback FM80 controller, 40A PWM cheap Chinese controller, 12V 1000 AH of Trojan T105RE batteries, 2.5Kw Aims MSW inverter and 400W TSW inverter.

I will respect other peoples threads and try to stay ON TOPIC. Equally if I start a thread, and in order to keep forum friction to a minimum, only constructive ON TOPIC responses will be answered. Should I still don't reply: It is likely I have blocked you. for being B.A.D. (Belligerent And Derisive)

Had that problem here - bought a Pure Air unit with a HEPA filter - when time came to replace the filters I put the unit in storage.

In the new house we solved that particular problem by only smoking outside - also cuts down on smoking in the winter substantially.

I used to spend my Christmas's in Ohio. So cold I could only manage 1/2 a cig outside. Much longer and I would have been an EX smoker LOL.

Little bit more mild here - not too many days below freezing.

I have worked in many countries including 2 weeks inTurkey (nr. AttaTurk Airport) I seem to remember that all I ate there was fish, and the Bazaar was a great place to visit.

In Istanbul I like the eating places along the Bosphorus - sit and relax and drink Raki

Traffic is a nightmare there though - that is the reason we settled in Izmir.

From '78 on I worked around the world and was always looking for a place to retire - I like the life style and people here.

I thought i would have language problems in Turkey but was amazed to find so many people (especially cab drivers) who spoke German. As I am fluent in German it made things very easy for me.

I don't remember where I ate but I do remember it was very good fish LOL!

Never knew about Raki, I think I just drank beer.

I pretty much worked around the world too.

That's a great idea. Nice thought process.
