    Off grid solar power Ballarat

I'm in Ballarat and we are seriously considering installing a Off grid solar Ballarat. I have a few quotes so far (only over the phone ones which I am told are not good) and have two people coming to quote next week (one from Ballarat and one maybe from Bendigo).
Just wondering if anyone has installed solar in Ballarat here and if they have any recommendations?

I assume that the Ballarat you're referring to is in Australia?

There's a Ballarat in the USA in California. It's near Death Valley and only has one resident at this time.

I stop by there 1x/year in July and save the park ranger's the trip to drop off the mail which I was told amounts to a small but regular stipend check from the gov. to maintain a water line from a spring up the mountain a ways.
Kind of a neat place if you're into that sort of thing.

Anyway, and maybe way off topic:
A few years ago I helped one former resident (Rocky Novak) install a small one panel PV system w/a 12 V battery in Ballarat so I guess I might qualify as someone who has installed PV in Ballarat, but probably on the wrong continent.

Rocky moved to Trona, CA a few years ago due to health and age. One on the more interesting people I've come across in my desert travels. He's actually quite intelligent and informed but also quite eccentric.

Lots of stories, including making porn in the desert as well as some stories about Charlie Manson and the nearby Barker ranch.

FWIW, if you google "Rocky Novak + Ballarat" you'll find some interesting /entertaining videos and maybe catch a glimpse of the PV panel sitting on the roof of the "visitor's center". Real of living history that's all true and more.
